James Boag and his son established their brewery in 1881 on the banks of the Esk River in historic Launceston, forging a tradition of brewing excellence. The combination of Tasmania’s finest ingredients with the James Boag pride, passion and superior craftsmanship quickly cemented their reputation for making extraordinary beers.
Today, the James Boag Brewery exclusively brews and bottles their range of beers
using crisp Tasmanian water and only the finest hops and barley. Each bottle
represents the purity and wonder of the brand’s island home and its ongoing
commitment to brewing excellence.
