WALK THROUGH TASMANIA'S ANCIENT RAINFOREST WITH TARKINE TRAILS
"Life altering," "untouched paradise," " the most pristine, unpolluted place I've ever walked in." These are just a selection of comments from our guests describing their experience of the Tarkine.
Now it's your turn to experience the unbelievable beauty of the Tarkine - Tasmania’s ancient rainforest. The Tarkine is the largest cool-temperate rainforest in the Southern Hemisphere and the second largest in the world. With World Heritage significance, this 65 million year old rainforest sits in the North West region of Tasmania and is a hidden gem for tourists and locals alike.
Meander through the ‘cathedral-like’ groves with mosses and fungi carpeting the forest floor, or marvel at the Tarkine’s incredible coastline, rich with aboriginal archaeological history combined with raw coastal beauty.
Tarkine Trails are proud to offer three unique experiences designed to suit a wide array of fitness levels, from the serious walker through to the newcomer wanting to experience the forest but with all of the luxuries along the way.
