A small, family-owned and operated business in a beautiful historic brewery building, Captain Bligh’s makes a wide range of beers, artisan spirits (including whisky, rum and liqueurs) and a variety of popular mixed drinks. While they make all kinds of beers, from delicious red ales to IPAs, lagers and fabulous session drinks, their speciality is rich, strong barrel-aged beers. Everything is made, bottled or canned, and labelled on site. Products are sold at the vibrant Salamanca Market each Saturday by the owners’ son Adam, who’s also the distiller. In addition, the brewery doors open to the public on the third Friday of each month. There, in what’s been described as Hobart’s best-kept secret, you can relax and enjoy a drink in a cosy and welcoming atmosphere, meet the brewers, listen to live music and treat yourself to local food. However you choose to experience Captain Bligh’s, you’ll be welcome. Cheers! 64 Warwick Street, Hobart captainblighs.com.au [FB, Inst] |
