Devonport Regional Gallery is a vibrant art space in the paranaple arts centre in the heart of Devonport.
The Gallery presents an exciting and varied annual program of exhibitions, showcasing nationally touring exhibitions, artworks from the Devonport City Permanent Collection of Art – which includes the impressive Robinson Collection of historic photographic negatives – and exhibitions by emerging Tasmanian artists. Families are welcome to use the Gallery guide, It’s OK @ DRG, which was made for children, by children. The Guide is full of ideas to make your visit both fun and educational. Additionally, the workshop room, the Creative Space, can be accessed whenever the doors are open. There you will find a range of materials and activities to respond to the exciting exhibition program. The paranaple arts centre also accommodates the Town Hall Theatre and the Devonport Visitors Information Centre. The friendly staff provide up-to-date travel advice and can assist with bookings. While awaiting service, you can enjoy browsing the gift shop, which stocks a variety of Tasmanian-made products.
