The Huon Pine Picnic Plank have been designed by hand, right down to the hand rubbed oil finish. Each piece is unique and has been individually selected to display the best of its grain and natural features. The more the picnic plank is used, the more worn and distinctive the character of the timber will become…. Like an old worn farmhouse kitchen table. One side can be used as a chopping board and the other side for presentation and sharing; - cheese, dips, quince paste, panforte - ploughman’s lunch - scones and cream - whole smoked fish - shared table salads The HUON PINE tree grows very slowly – often less than 1mm per year and reach prodigious ages; scientists agree that many individuals are aged 2,500 years and older. A buried HUON PINE log was documented by scientists to have been lying there for 38,000 years. *Longer planks available on request. Please email for details. The primary function of a door stop is to keep the door where you want it - so you need a door stop that won't budge! The non-slip rubber base and pre-filled clean sand in our doorstops stay where you put them.
