These three architect-designed cabins in the Huon Valley were created with two things in mind. Firstly, to inspire guests to disconnect from their everyday reality and to take a deep breath, and second, to support and collaborate with local Tasmanian producers, growers, artists and creatives.
Each of the cabins at Hunter Huon Valley accommodates two guests and features a built-in queen bed with European linen, deep stone composite bath for soaking in the views, wood fireplace, ensuite complete with skylight above the rain-head shower, kitchen, a wine collection, and a private deck overlooking the valley. The property has a sense of escapism – something we could all use a little more of. Here you can fully immerse yourself in your surroundings, so switch off all your devices, enjoy some genuine relaxation time and reconnect with each other. For this very reason there’s no television or wifi available. There’s no temptation. The cabins sit on 36 acres of rugged bushland providing solitude from the world. Explore the private dam, natural rock formations and tracks located on the property. It’s shared with an abundance of native birdlife, pademelons, possums, quolls and echidnas, who might decide to pay you a visit during your stay. The interiors are clean and understated, with the design showcasing the workmanship of the Hobart-based builder and architect. A mixture of dark and natural materials frames the landscape surrounding the cabins, which is the real hero. Many of the pieces in the cabin were handcrafted and custom made by local potters, furniture makers, upholsterers and creatives from Hobart and the Huon Valley, to make your stay uniquely Tasmanian. Immerse yourself in the experience and indulge in the locally produced food and wine sourced from artisans around the Huon Valley. Keep warm by the wood fireplace or simply gaze up at the stars while lying in bed. The philosophy at Hunter Huon Valley is to embrace the art of doing nothing. But for those who struggle to relax there are many great places in the region to explore. Check out one of the local farmers markets or woodfired bakeries, wander around the Tahune airwalk, or visit one of the many cellar doors for some world-class Tassie wine or cider. hunterhuonvalley.co 0423 488 402 or 0421 655 761 [email protected] |
