Nova’s services and facilities have been specially curated to help optimise your body’s own innate ability to be healthy, feel great, and be at its best on a biological, physical and psychological level. This unique day spa is currently home to Hobart’s only facility for therapeutic thermal therapy (sometimes referred to as contrast hot and cold therapy) and comes complete with a soothing magnesium spa, relaxing far-infrared sauna (with chromotherapy) and invigorating ice bath. Located in a tranquil space called the therapeutic bathhouse, these facilities help to actively engage the body’s thermoregulatory system through a sequence of hot and cold to help improve circulation, enhance detoxification, relax, boost cell rejuvenation, reduce stress, boost happy hormones and enhance muscle recovery. The therapeutic bathhouse is available for communal, private and group bookings. Nova also features Tasmania’s only mHBOT (mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy) AirPod. This non-invasive and effective wellness tool helps to offset the impacts of our daily lifestyle and demands by delivering pressurised oxygen more readily into blood plasma to safely increase the concentration of oxygen by as much as 50% to tissues, cells and peripheral areas. It has been noted to improve cognition, increase energy, improve sleep, aid faster recovery from surgery, injury, and jet lag, and to reduce inflammation.
