Serendipity is a revamped restaurant/café in Battery Point. Owner and head chef Ethan Fittler saw the beautiful surroundings as the perfect place to begin a new journey for himself and his family. Ethan was formerly head chef at Hobart’s Black Footed Pig and has over 10 years’ experience working in restaurants across Australia. Serendipity has comfortable and relaxed seating indoors as well as a beautiful courtyard – an added bonus is that the courtyard is pet friendly!
Ethan and his team offer a range of food and drinks, with all items made in-house including bread baked daily. The dishes are modern and clean, with produce sourced through local suppliers. From the Spanish tapas-inspired omelette to the must-have soufflé pancakes, the food here will keep you coming back. Serendipity is ideal for functions and special occasions. The service at Serendipity is a throwback to yesteryear, with full table service, an attractive atmosphere and lovely artwork. The staff – which includes most of Ethan’s family – are engaging and friendly and always happy to help. They look forward to welcoming you and hope that your visit is Serendipitous! 45 Hampden Road, Battery Point |
