KILLARA DISTILLERY - SOUTHERN TASMANIA
So this isn’t brand new. But we had to give a shout out to one of the few distilleries across the world that is owned and operated by a female. Kristy Booth-Lark has distilling in her veins, her parents are Bill and Lyn Lark and her distillery’s name pays homage to the Lark legacy. For someone who wanted to be an air traffic controller, aren’t we glad Kristy opened Killara last year, making Apothecary Gin, Single Malt, brandy and more. Kristy tells us she hopes to have a cellar door soon but for now, enjoy her drops at The House of Whisky on Bruny, Society in Salamanca, Drink Co., Gold Bar and others.
