THE RETREAT He has captured Heath Ledger’s portrait and his work has swept across Martha Stewart Living pages to Vogue Australia. This autumn, Master Photographer Tony Amos is coming to Bothwell, Tasmania. Across four days at Ratho Farm, Tony will share intimate insights as part of a one-off Me Time Experiences Retreat. Your backdrop is the Central Highlands – bursting with autumnal hues and character dating back to convict times. If you’ve always wished to budge your camera from auto, but haven’t felt confident, this is your opportunity to learn from an expert. Always wished to capture that morning light, frame your shot perfectly, take a crisp and clear close up? Tony will show you how. Wanted to be shown in a small group where questions are carefully tended to with hands-on expertise? Then this is for you, as space is limited to an intimate group of just 10. WHO IS TONY AMOS? Few photographers can boast the canvas Tony’s work has appeared across. Think US House & Garden, English House & Garden, Gourmet Traveller, Travel & Leisure, Vogue Australia, Vogue Living, Belle and Conde Nast Traveller UK. This man has been in demand for his keen eye for over 25 years. His work covers landscape, travel, still life, interiors, portraiture and lifestyle. His fine art photography has also been exhibited in both the United States and Australia. WHO ARE THE ME TIME EXPERIENCES TEAM? If you haven’t heard about them – take a look here to learn more. Founding sisters Sharon Ashlin and Pauline Roche design four-day retreats that are dreamboats for those wanting to combine their love of learning with a dash of like-minded folk and a sprinkling of Tasmania’s best food and wine. It’s the solo traveller seeking a holiday with a distinct edge, the person looking to reconnect with a new or past passion, the weary worker/Mum/Dad looking for some 'me time' away from the everyday, or a group of friends looking to learn, laugh and spend precious time together that are loving what these sisters curate. Everything from singing weekends leading into performances at the Festival of Voices, to days spent with an author whose tale has been told via Australian Story, to walks and adventures in the Tasmanian wilderness. These experiences linger in the memory far longer than four days. From conceiving the experience itself to attending and ensuring all your creature comforts and creative needs are met. Imagine a four-day experience where everything is taken care of. Your comfy beds are booked, meals are sorted, company is gathered, and a proven professional you’ve admired is your teacher. This is what Me Time Experiences is about. HOW WILL THE DAYS FLOW AT THE PHOTOGRAPHY RETREAT? As always there’s plenty of ‘me time’. Intersperse your camera clicking with time by the river seeking out the resident platypus or perhaps swinging a traditional hickory club on Australia’s oldest golf course (onsite) if time allows. Take advantage of your one-on-one session out in the field with Tony and follow it up with a single-malt whisky among new friends sharing your work from the day. There’ll be some tutorial-style small group sessions covering equipment, light, composition, weather and such, but most time will be spent wandering the farm and ‘learning by doing’ with Tony by your side. Share your work or keep those shots just for you. Take some time out to read a book or capture those autumn leaves solo. It’s up to you. This is your retreat. Bring a loved one, that person that relentlessly snaps away at parties or just yourself. Come and recharge and leave with a touch of Tasmania and Tony through your lense. WHAT’S INCLUDED

I see that both areas create one huge space which combines an open floor plan with large expanses of glass, enabling to get the most out of the sun. Thank you for the inspiration.
