FARZI

Frank’s Cider House & Café is a family-run business in the historic town of Franklin, 35 minutes south of Hobart. It is the cellar door for Frank’s multi-award-winning sparkling ciders. HAMLET HOBART CAFÉ
Hamlet is a registered charity that exists to empower people who are underrepresented in the workforce. They provide training opportunities and tailored wrap-around support to people facing barriers to employment, with a focus on people living with disability. Hamlet operates a number of social enterprises including a café, a catering and condiments business, as well as a food relief project supplying 200 meals each week to Hobart City Mission. They deliver hands-on training and work readiness skills to volunteer participants, to improve their chances of securing employment. To date they have provided over 40,000 hours of training to more than 700 people in our community.

THE LITTLE POET PATISSERIE

THE OLD BANK OF GEEVESTON
The Old Bank of Geeveston is a small bistro/café producing small batches of hand-crafted artisan pastries and cooking rustic food. They source mostly local grower roadside stalls, foraged and homegrown produce. They use what’s around, whether it’s given as excess produce by a local farmer or simply that it happens to be in season. It’s about using natural ingredients and fewer artificial or processed goods. The Old Bank’s main focus is the complexity of the taste, redefining the integrity of the food with their own little details and evolving organically without restraint. WATERFALLS CAFÉ & GALLERY
Nestled in Mt Field National Park, Waterfalls Café & Gallery has to be one of Tassie’s most gloriously set eateries. Not only is Mt Field Tasmania’s oldest national park, alongside Freycinet, it is also one of the most diverse. It’s home to some of the planet’s tallest eucalypts as well as some epic alpine vegetation, from pandanis and pencil pines, found only in Tasmania, to gorgeous highland tarns. Then there’s the thundering waterfalls including famed Russell Falls just a short walk from the café. All this, about 70 minutes from Hobart. Don’t forget, Mt Field is one of the best places for fagus (the deciduous beech) that delivers a riot of colour across the Tarn Shelf during autumn. Golds, reds and fiery oranges blanket the hillsides, while in winter, Mount Mawson ski field is often dusted with snow.
